Arabianranta Library works well when a family needs a warm, easy stop around Arabianranta, Toukola, or Vanhakaupunki. Inside the old Arabia factory building, you can read for a while, borrow something new, play chess or backgammon, and look at changing art exhibitions. The Museum of Technology Junior Cards can make the visit feel a little more special when they fit your plans.

- Accessibility
- Accessible entry is possible but not completely simple. The route to the entrance is even, wide, and lit, but it includes a long ramp without an intermediate landing. The main entrance has steps, a wheelchair lift, and thresholds over 2 cm; the service point is on the same floor as the entrance.
Plan your visit
- Practical notes
- The library is in the Arabia135 block together with the Metropolia and Pop & Jazz Conservatory campus library. The entrance is beside the Arabia relief at Hämeentie 135 A. Ask at the service desk with a library card for chess and backgammon; outdoor games and other loanable items are returned to this branch.
- Opening-hours notes
- Opening hours can change around public holidays and holiday periods. Check same-day hours before going, especially if your visit depends on a Junior Card or anything handled at the service desk.
- Booking notes
- A normal library visit does not require booking. Junior Cards cannot be reserved in advance.
- Price notes
- The library visit, borrowing, and Wi-Fi are free. Copying and printing cost extra. The Museum of Technology Junior Card gives free admission for one child and a discount on workshops and birthday packages, but only a few cards are available.
- Age notes
- Suitable for all ages as a calm library visit. Chess and backgammon are likely to work best for school-age children.
- Seasonal notes
- The library works year-round. Loanable outdoor games are mainly a warm-season extra, and winter items may be available in colder months.
- Weather notes
- A good indoor option for rain, cold, or windy weather. Air conditioning also makes it a possible short cooling break on hot days.
