Terms and Conditions

The terms describe how PikkuRetki public content, links, and feedback channels can be used.

Last updated: 15 May 2026

These Terms and Conditions explain the basic rules for using PikkuRetki.

PikkuRetki helps parents and caregivers discover family-friendly events and activities in Helsinki, Espoo, and Vantaa. The service is an editorial guide, not an official event organizer, booking service, emergency service, or public authority.

PikkuRetki is run by Nicolas Louis, an individual based in Finland. The legal contact address is contact@pikkuretki.com.

By using PikkuRetki, you agree to these terms.

1. What PikkuRetki is

PikkuRetki is a curated discovery service for family-friendly outings.

It may include information about:

  • events
  • activities
  • venues
  • organizers
  • public places
  • family-friendly services
  • external websites and booking pages

The goal is to help families make better outing decisions with clear, practical information.

PikkuRetki does not organize most of the events or activities listed on the service unless this is clearly stated.

2. Editorial information

PikkuRetki tries to provide information that is useful, relevant, and reasonably up to date.

However, event times, prices, booking requirements, accessibility details, age suitability, language, weather suitability, facilities, opening hours, public transport details, and venue rules can change.

Before making plans, you should check the original organizer, venue, or official source, especially when:

  • the event requires booking or registration
  • the outing involves travel
  • accessibility is important
  • the event is close to its start time
  • bad weather may affect the visit
  • prices or opening hours matter to your decision

PikkuRetki may correct, update, remove, or archive content at any time.

3. No guarantee of completeness or accuracy

PikkuRetki is selective. It does not try to list every possible event, activity, venue, or place.

Information is provided in good faith, but PikkuRetki does not guarantee that all content is complete, accurate, current, suitable, safe, available, or error-free.

You should treat PikkuRetki as a helpful guide, not as the only source of truth.

4. Family decisions and supervision

You are responsible for deciding whether an event, activity, place, route, or service is suitable for your child or family.

You are also responsible for:

  • supervising children
  • checking safety conditions
  • following venue rules
  • checking age suitability
  • checking accessibility needs
  • checking weather conditions
  • planning transport
  • deciding whether the outing is appropriate for your situation

PikkuRetki may offer practical notes, but these do not replace your own judgment as a parent, caregiver, or responsible adult.

5. Third-party services and links

PikkuRetki may link to third-party services, including:

  • event organizers
  • venues
  • booking pages
  • ticketing services
  • Google Maps and other map services
  • public transport services
  • external websites

These third-party services are not controlled by PikkuRetki.

If you open or use a third-party service, that service may apply its own terms, privacy policy, cookies, payment rules, cancellation rules, and data practices.

PikkuRetki is not responsible for third-party websites, services, bookings, payments, cancellations, content, availability, or errors.

6. Bookings, payments, and cancellations

Unless clearly stated otherwise, PikkuRetki does not sell tickets, take payments, manage bookings, or handle cancellations.

If an event or activity requires booking, registration, payment, cancellation, refund, or customer support, this is handled by the relevant organizer, venue, or third-party service.

You should check their terms before booking or paying.

7. Optional accounts

You can use PikkuRetki without creating an account.

If you create an account, you are responsible for using your own login method and keeping your account access secure. Do not try to access another person's account, impersonate another person, or misuse account, export, deletion, favorite sync, or authentication features.

PikkuRetki may offer account features such as synced favorites, profile self-service, account export, and account deletion. Account features may change, be suspended, or be removed if needed for security, reliability, abuse prevention, or product changes.

Deleting an account deletes synced favorites and removes or anonymizes PikkuRetki's local account record, except for limited deletion or support status that may be kept if needed. It also asks the authentication provider to delete the current user account. Some browser-local data on other devices may need to be cleared separately by you.

8. User messages, corrections, and feedback

You may contact PikkuRetki with questions, corrections, suggestions, or feedback.

When sending a message, you agree not to submit:

  • unlawful content
  • abusive or threatening content
  • spam
  • misleading information
  • unnecessary personal data about children or other people
  • content that you do not have the right to share

PikkuRetki may review, ignore, delete, or act on messages at its own discretion.

Sending a correction or suggestion does not guarantee that PikkuRetki will publish, update, or remove content.

9. Internal editorial and operator access

Internal editorial and operator access is only for authorized maintainers.

You must not try to access, test, interfere with, or misuse operator workflows, databases, forms, APIs, service consoles, repositories, command-line processes, or technical infrastructure.

You must not attempt to:

  • gain unauthorized access
  • bypass security
  • scrape or overload the service
  • interfere with normal operation
  • upload harmful code
  • impersonate another person
  • submit false or misleading information

PikkuRetki may restrict access, remove content, or take other action if the service is misused.

10. Acceptable use

You agree to use PikkuRetki lawfully and respectfully.

You must not use PikkuRetki in a way that harms the service, other users, organizers, venues, children, families, or third parties.

You must not use PikkuRetki for unlawful, abusive, automated, deceptive, or harmful purposes.

11. Intellectual property

PikkuRetki’s own text, structure, design, branding, editorial notes, and original content belong to PikkuRetki unless otherwise stated.

Some information, names, logos, images, links, or descriptions may belong to organizers, venues, public sources, or other third parties.

You may use PikkuRetki for personal, non-commercial family planning.

You may not copy, republish, scrape, sell, or reuse substantial parts of PikkuRetki’s content or database without permission, unless allowed by law.

12. Availability of the service

PikkuRetki is provided as available.

PikkuRetki may change, suspend, remove, limit, or stop parts of the service at any time.

PikkuRetki does not promise that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, fast, or free from errors.

13. Limitation of responsibility

To the extent allowed by law, PikkuRetki is not responsible for losses, problems, or harm caused by:

  • inaccurate or outdated information
  • cancelled or changed events
  • unavailable venues or services
  • third-party websites or services
  • booking, payment, refund, or cancellation issues
  • travel disruption
  • weather conditions
  • personal decisions made using the service
  • temporary service outages
  • technical errors

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot legally be limited.

14. Privacy

PikkuRetki’s use of personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy.

You should read the Privacy Policy to understand what data is used, why it is used, and what choices you have.

15. Changes to these terms

PikkuRetki may update these Terms and Conditions when the service, features, legal requirements, or operating model change.

The “Last updated” date shows when these terms were last changed.

If a change is important, PikkuRetki may provide a clearer notice in the app or on the website.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, unless mandatory consumer protection rules say otherwise.
