Accessibility
Rantaraitti is partially accessible. According to Espoo, the full route cannot be fully accessible because of terrain height differences, but accessible sections are marked in electronic map information. With a stroller, choose a wide and gentle section in advance.

Plan your visit

Practical notes
Rantaraitti can be used on foot and by bike, and the route includes several bridges. There are nearly 100 interesting sites along the route and benches for breaks. Choose your starting point in advance and check the map for whether your chosen section is accessible, gravel-surfaced, asphalted, or an urban promenade.
Opening-hours notes
Rantaraitti has no set opening hours. Services along the route, cafes, waterfront restaurants, and archipelago transport have their own opening hours and seasons.
Booking notes
A self-guided walk or bike ride does not require booking.
Price notes
Using Rantaraitti is free. Cafes, restaurants, archipelago transport, and other services cost separately.
Age notes
Suitable for all ages when the length is chosen to match the child. For small children, a short seaside walk and snack break works better than a long continuous route.
Seasonal notes
Rantaraitti can be used year-round, but sea wind, ice, darkness, and winter maintenance differences can affect which section suits your family. In summer, the route connects naturally with beaches and archipelago transport.
Weather notes
Best in dry and calm seaside weather. Strong wind, rain, ice, or slippery coastal rocks can make some sections a poor choice with children.
