Game Over? is a temporary special exhibition at Haltia - The Finnish Nature Centre about biodiversity loss and climate change. Children and adults do more than look at displays: they move through a gamified experience and think about how everyday choices can either weaken or strengthen biodiversity. The theme is serious, but the format works especially for school-age children and teens who are interested in games, nature, and the effect of their own actions.

- Accessibility
- Haltia's accessibility information says accessible parking is next to the main entrance, drop-off traffic can stop in front of the entrance, and almost all parts of the building are wheelchair-accessible. The building has spacious lifts and accessible toilets. Check with Haltia for any exceptions if you need exact details for individual points inside the Game Over? exhibition space.
Plan your visit
- Practical notes
- The exhibition is part of Haltia's nature exhibitions and is included with the normal exhibition ticket. You can combine the visit with Haltia's main or outdoor exhibitions, hiking advice, the restaurant, or a short stop on the edge of Nuuksio. Allow time for discussion, because the exhibition deals with biodiversity loss and climate change through choices that children can recognise too.
- Opening-hours notes
- According to Haltia's own information, the Game Over? special exhibition is open 9.5.2026-4.4.2027. Haltia's normal exhibition hours are 1.5.-30.9. Mon-Sun 10:00-18:00 and 1.10.-30.4. Tue-Sun 10:00-17:00, Monday closed. Check exceptions before going.
- Booking notes
- No mandatory advance booking is listed for a normal exhibition visit. Tickets can be bought from Haltia's online shop or on site according to opening hours. Groups and guided tours are booked separately.
- Price notes
- Haltia's exhibition ticket costs EUR 13.50 for adults and EUR 8.50 for children aged 7-17 and other discount groups. The family ticket costs EUR 26 and includes 1-2 adults and 1-4 children. Under-7s and Museum Card visitors enter the exhibitions free.
- Age notes
- The exhibition works best for children and teens around 7-15 who can read, think about choices, and take part in a gamified exhibition with an adult. Younger children can join too, but the biodiversity-loss and climate-change themes often need adult framing.
- Seasonal notes
- This is a temporary special exhibition, not a permanent activity. The exhibition season runs 9.5.2026-4.4.2027, and the content should be rechecked before it ends in spring 2027.
- Weather notes
- The indoor exhibition works well for rainy, cold, and windy days. Arrival from transit stops or parking, and any outdoor Nuuksio add-on, still happen outdoors, so bring weather-appropriate clothing.
