Haltia - The Finnish Nature Centre is a nature centre and trip base next to Nuuksio. Families can visit the exhibitions that remain open, ask for hiking advice, rent equipment, and start nearby trails from the same area. Haltia remains an indoor base for a Nuuksio nature day during its renewal.

- Haltia's accessibility information says accessible parking is next to the main entrance, drop-off traffic can stop in front of the entrance, and almost all parts of the building are wheelchair-accessible. The building has spacious lifts and accessible toilets. The nearby Maahisenkierros trail is a demanding accessible trail of about 1.8 km, where a wheelchair user needs an assistant.

- The main exhibition and Restaurant Haltia are closed for renewal 19.10.2026–27.1.2027. Other exhibitions, including Game Over? and the Light Gallery, and hiking services remain open. Café and food services are available in the Haltia Gate area. Reopening is announced for 28.1.2027; check services before visiting.
- Opening-hours notes
- 1.10.–30.4. Tue–Sun 10:00–17:00, closed Mon. 1.5.–30.9. Mon–Sun 10:00–18:00. All of Haltia is closed for a private event on 17.11.2026. Check other exceptions before visiting.
- Booking notes
- A normal nature-centre visit does not require booking. Groups, guided tours, and child or school group programmes are booked separately following Haltia's instructions.
- Price notes
- From 19.10.2026 during the renewal, exhibition admission is EUR 7 for adults and EUR 4 for ages 7–17. A EUR 15 family ticket includes 1–2 adults and 1–4 children. Under-7s and Museum Card holders enter free.
- Age notes
- Works broadly for families with children. Under-7s enter the exhibitions free, and children aged 7-17 have a discounted child ticket. The visit works best when you plan both a calm exhibition stop and a short outdoor section.
- Seasonal notes
- Haltia remains open during the renewal Tuesday to Sunday 10:00-17:00. The renewed main exhibition and restaurant are planned to reopen on 28.1.2027. Trails, campfire sites, and equipment needs depend on season and weather.
- Weather notes
- The indoor exhibitions make Haltia a useful rainy-day and cold-day base, but outdoor routes should be matched to weather, children's energy, and trail conditions.
