Heureka Science Centre is a large indoor, and in summer partly outdoor, destination in Tikkurila, Vantaa, where families can try hands-on science exhibits, watch planetarium films, and follow the day's science programme. In summer 2026, Heureka includes for example: “Giants of the Ice Age” is on display until 30.8.2026, with nearly twenty life-size animal robots including a mammoth and a saber-toothed cat. “Our Journey in Space” continues until 6.1.2027 as an interactive space exhibition for the whole family. “Play and Explore”, “Water – The Stream of Life”, “Artificial Intelligence – Me, Myself & AI”, “Heureka Classics”, and Science on a Sphere add more things to try. In summer, the ticket also includes Science Park Galilei, with large outdoor exhibits based on music, mathematics, and physics phenomena.

- Heureka's accessibility information says the entrance is step-free and threshold-free, accessible toilets and a nursery room are available, and exhibition spaces can be reached with a pram or wheelchair. Accessible parking is in front of the building.

- Practical notes
- During the summer holidays, Heureka has public performances every day; the programme can include rat feeding, laboratory activities, and science theatre. Check the daily programme and planetarium showtimes before going. Planetarium seats are reserved on site with a QR code at weekends and during school holiday seasons; on weekdays seats cannot be reserved in advance. Many Science Park Galilei exhibits use water, so spare clothes can be useful for children. Families can use the Science Restaurant or the picnic area, which has a microwave, water point, and nearby toilets. The entrance hall has coat racks and free lockable lockers.
- Opening-hours notes
- During the summer season 1.6.-9.8.2026, Heureka is open Mon-Fri 09:00-18:00 and Sat-Sun 10:00-18:00. Outside this period, normal hours are usually Mon-Wed 10:00-17:00, Thu-Fri 10:00-20:00, and Sat-Sun 10:00-18:00. On-site ticket sales end one hour before closing; check exceptions before going.
- Booking notes
- A normal visit does not require a separate booking. Same-day online tickets are cheaper until Heureka opens; after that, tickets are bought on-site at regular prices. Families cannot reserve planetarium seats in advance; weekend and school-holiday seat reservations are made on site.
- Price notes
- The Heureka ticket includes exhibitions, planetarium films, public shows, and in summer Science Park Galilei. Advance online tickets cost EUR 23 for adults and EUR 16 for children aged 5-17. On-site tickets cost EUR 26 for adults and EUR 19 for ages 5-17. Children under 5 enter free, and the Museum Card is accepted.
- Age notes
- The whole centre works for a wide age range, but it often fits preschool and primary-school children best. The planetarium has an age limit of 5, and film-specific recommendations range from primary-school children to about age 10+.
- Seasonal notes
- The indoor spaces work year-round. In summer, Science Park Galilei and several water-themed outdoor exhibits make the visit partly outdoors; the official summer page lists the outdoor exhibitions as open until 27.9.2026.
- Weather notes
- A good option for rainy, cold, and windy days because most of the visit is indoors. The summer outdoor science park depends more on the weather.
