Hevossalmi beach is a small beach tucked away in southern Laajasalo. Families will find sand, smooth rocks, a playground, and a quiet seaside setting that feels more like a local nature stop than a large city beach. There are portable toilets and a changing shelter, but no lifeguard supervision.

- Accessibility
- An accessible visit may be difficult. There are no accessible parking spaces by the beach, and the nearest car park and pick-up/drop-off point are over 100 m away. The route to the beach is smooth and wide enough crushed rock or sand, but it has a steep slope. There is no accessible toilet on the beach, only a mobile toilet, and the walkway to the information board is rough.

- Practical notes
- There is no car park close to the beach. If you want to combine the beach with a café or restaurant stop, nearby is Villa Wuorio and a nice beach café. On the beach day, also check water temperature, blue-green algae status, and any restrictions through ulkoliikunta.fi and Helsinki’s swimming water quality page.
- Opening-hours notes
- The 2026 beach season has ended. Dates and hours for summer 2027 services will be announced later. Check the City of Helsinki page before visiting.
