Kivinokka's Puumerkkipolku trail runs through old forest towards the bird wetlands of Vanhankaupunginlahti. On the roughly 330 m route, families can follow the handrail from one tree marker to the next, look at tree species, read information boards in Finnish, Swedish and Braille, and pause on benches. The route ends at an accessible birdwatching platform and returns along the same path.

- Accessibility
- The nature trail itself is hard and smooth, at least 1.5 m wide, and suitable for wheelchairs and strollers. It still has steep hills, with the steepest ascent around 12%, and an unrailed level difference beside the route. Accessibility therefore also depends on the arrival route, weather, and the mobility aid used.

- Practical notes
- From the Kivinokka car park, it is about 300 m along Rajatie to the start of the trail. Rajatie is steep, surfaced with crushed stone and uneven in places, and it does not appear in ordinary online map services. At the trail start there is a turning point for drop-off traffic and a few accessible parking spaces.
- Opening-hours notes
- The nature trail does not have ordinary indoor-style opening hours. Other Kivinokka services, such as the summer dry toilet, kiosk, or cafes, may follow their own schedules.
- Booking notes
- A self-guided visit to the nature trail does not require booking.
- Price notes
- Walking the nature trail is free.
- Age notes
- Works for many child ages as a short forest and birdwatching-platform route. The tree markers, raised reliefs, and Braille information boards give preschool and school-age children details to explore.
- Seasonal notes
- The route works best in snow-free conditions if accessibility or stroller use is important for the visit. Snow, ice, and wet crushed-stone surfaces can change how the route feels.
- Weather notes
- Dry weather is best for a short accessible nature outing. Rain or winter conditions can make Rajatie and the trail surfaces harder to use.
