Maahisenkierros runs around the Haltia and Solvalla area on the edge of Nuuksio National Park. The route is partly a circular trail and partly out-and-back, passing from light forest to the edge of the Solvalla sports field, past a small mire, and into open forest. For families, the clearest highlight is the accessible viewing platform over Lake Pitkäjärvi in Nuuksio. The route is suitable with a stroller and with a wheelchair when assisted, but the terrain makes it a demanding accessible trail.

- Accessibility
- Luontoon classifies this as a demanding accessible nature trail. Moving along the route may require an assistant and a device intended for, or helping with, movement in nature. Service Map information says the route is suitable with a stroller and with a wheelchair when assisted. Access to an accessible toilet depends on Haltia's opening hours.
Plan your visit
- Practical notes
- The route starts and ends at the Maahisenkierros accessible parking area, from the left edge of the Solvalla Sports Institute parking area. There is a route information board at the parking area, and the circular section can be walked in either direction. The outing can be shortened by turning back from the circular section before completing the full loop. There are no waste bins and no dry toilet on the trail; the nearest accessible toilet is at the Finnish Nature Centre Haltia.
- Opening-hours notes
- The route has no set opening hours. The trail has no winter maintenance, and use of the nearest accessible toilet depends on Haltia's opening hours.
- Booking notes
- A self-guided walk does not require booking.
- Price notes
- Walking the nature trail is free.
- Age notes
- Works for children of many ages as a short forest outing when the demanding accessible terrain suits the family. For children walking independently, the distance is short, but with smaller children, strollers, or mobility aids, it is worth allowing an unhurried pace.
- Seasonal notes
- Best during snow-free conditions because the trail has no winter maintenance. For an accessible outing, a dry and unfrozen trail surface matters.
- Weather notes
- Dry weather is best. In rain or ice, the demanding accessible route can be clearly harder with a stroller, wheelchair, or other mobility aid.
