Finnish Museum of Horology and Jewellery Kruunu is an indoor museum in Tapiola and the only museum in the Nordic countries specialized in watches and jewellery. Families can explore stories about watches, jewellery, makers, materials, and craft through changing exhibitions and the museum's collections. A normal museum visit works best as a calm indoor stop with school-age children and children who enjoy objects, details, or technology. The museum also offers guided tours, workshops, events, live demonstrations, and children's birthdays, but these should be checked separately as programme or group-visit content.

Plan your visit
- Practical notes
- Kruunu is at the same Ahertajantie 3 address as Museo Leikki, near WeeGee. The visit works well as a short or roughly one-and-a-half-hour indoor museum stop, and it can be combined with neighbouring Museo Leikki, the WeeGee area, Cafe Hyrrä, or the museum shop. Ticket sales and entry end 30 minutes before closing.
- Opening-hours notes
- The official page lists the museum as closed Mon-Tue, open Wed-Sat 11:00-17:00, and open Sun 10:00-17:00. Ticket sales and entry end 30 minutes before closing. Check exceptional opening hours before going.
- Booking notes
- A normal museum visit does not require booking. Guided tours, groups, workshops, live demonstrations, and children's birthdays are booked or checked separately following the museum's instructions.
- Price notes
- Adult admission is EUR 15, under-18s enter free, and discounted admission is EUR 7. A combined ticket for Kruunu and Museo Leikki costs EUR 18 / 10. The Museum Card is accepted. The listed free-admission day for 2026 is Espoo Day on 29.8.2026.
- Age notes
- Works broadly for families, but the best fit is usually around ages 5-12, when a child can look at objects, details, and short exhibition texts with an adult. For younger children, the visit can work as a short indoor stop if you focus on a few interesting watches, pieces of jewellery, or craft details.
- Seasonal notes
- As an indoor museum, Kruunu works year-round. Exhibitions change; on the checked pages, one collection exhibition was listed until 19.9.2027 and a Tony Granholm exhibition until 6.9.2026.
- Weather notes
- A good option for rainy, cold, windy, and hot days because the visit itself is indoors.
