Nahkiaispolku runs in the Haukkalampi area of Nuuksio National Park. The route has old spruce forest, rocks, streamside sections, and a small meadow, while information boards explain forest restoration. Although the trail is only about 2 km long, it is medium difficulty: there are steep climbs and descents, stairs, duckboards in wet spots, and bridges across streams. For families, this is a good short but terrain-heavy Nuuksio outing with school-age children.

Plan your visit
- Practical notes
- The starting point is at the Haukkalampi parking area, Haukkalammentie 32, 02820 Espoo. The trail is marked with pine-cone symbols, and the Luontoon route presentation runs counterclockwise. There are no waste bins on the trail, so take your rubbish to the Haukkalampi recycling point. The Haukkalampi area has parking areas, a water point, table-bench sets, and nearby dry toilets, but there is no dry toilet on the trail itself.
- Opening-hours notes
- The route has no set opening hours. The trail has no winter maintenance. In Nuuksio, fires are allowed only at marked campfire sites and cooking shelters, and during wildfire warnings only in cooking shelters. Pets must be kept on a leash.
- Booking notes
- A self-guided day hike does not require booking.
- Price notes
- Walking the trail is free. Possible costs relate to travel, parking, or services in the Haukkalampi area.
- Age notes
- Best for children around 7-12 who can manage 2 km on a forest trail and stairs. With younger children, the route is possible as a slow outing if the steep sections and duckboards fit the child's walking ability.
- Seasonal notes
- Best during snow-free conditions, when the stairs, duckboards, and stream crossings are easier to see and use. In winter, the route is not maintained, and steep sections can be slippery.
- Weather notes
- Dry weather is best. In rain, roots, rocks, stairs, and duckboards can be slippery, and it is worth moving calmly with children on the steep sections.
