Kaikumetsä's school and nursery grounds offer play and outdoor exercise in the evenings and at weekends. On weekdays, the yards are primarily reserved for the school, nursery and after-school activities. The neighbouring public Kaskitie playground is a separate area.

- On weekdays, the schoolyard is reserved for activities from 8–16 and the fenced nursery yard from 6–18. The yards are public in the evenings and at weekends. The kota hut is never for public use, and the parking area must not be used for play or cycling.
