The Rock Trail runs through the rocky ridge of the Hallainvuori nature reserve. Marked with blue diamond signs, it is best for school-age children and adults who can manage uneven rock and forest trail. Along the route there are nature information boards, two rest stops and views towards the fields of Viikki and Vanhankaupunginlahti bay. The trail is shared by walkers and mountain bikers, so families should keep an unhurried pace and watch for other users.

- Practical notes
- The Service Map address for the Rock Trail is Viikintie, 00790 Helsinki. Parking for the Myllypuro outdoor recreation area is in front of Pallomylly at Myllytontunpolku 1. The northern start of the trail is about 100 metres from the Viikki park bridge over Ring Road I, and the start has a map guidepost. The route has three information boards, signposts and signs attached to trees.
- Opening-hours notes
- The Rock Trail does not have ordinary indoor-style opening hours. Toilets at Myllypuro Sports Park are available during the building's opening hours; the official page says the building is open as a rule Mon-Sun 8-22, except public holidays and possible event or training days.
- Booking notes
- A self-guided visit to the nature trail does not require booking.
- Price notes
- Walking the nature trail is free.
- Age notes
- Best for school-age children who can walk rocky and steep terrain with an adult. The route is not suitable with toddlers or strollers, and groups of children should check the terrain in advance.
- Seasonal notes
- The route works best in snow-free and dry conditions. The Rock Trail has no winter maintenance, and an outdoor path connecting parts of the route has a cross-country ski track during the winter season.
- Weather notes
- Dry weather matters for safety. In rain, the rocks are slippery, and cliffs, stairs, roots and unrailed drops make the route more demanding for children.
