- Children under 7 can enter the museum only when accompanied by an adult. The island is a public park, but the museum buildings and yards require a ticket during the museum season.

- The museum is open annually 15.5.–15.9. In May 2026 it is open weekdays 9:00–15:00 and weekends 11:00–17:00; 1.6.–15.9.2026 it is open daily 11:00–17:00, except Midsummer Eve.

- A normal museum visit does not require booking. Tickets can be bought from the webshop, the ticket kiosk by the Seurasaari bridge, or the museum shop at Iisalmi parsonage.

- Seurasaari island is free as a public park. The open-air museum buildings and yards require a ticket: adult EUR 14 or EUR 13 from the webshop, reduced ticket EUR 10 or EUR 9 from the webshop. Admission is free for visitors under 18. A one-site building-dependent ticket costs EUR 6, and an adult Seurasaari-Tamminiemi combined ticket costs EUR 24.
