TAHTO is located at Helsinki Olympic Stadium and tells stories of Finnish sports and physical culture. The main exhibition moves from the atmosphere of the Helsinki Olympic Games to e-sports, moments of victory and disappointment, and familiar sports such as athletics, Formula 1, and ice hockey. For families, a strong highlight is TAHTO Sports Adventure, where children and adults can try light active tasks linked to many sports inside the museum.

Plan your visit
- Practical notes
- TAHTO's entrance is on the Stadium Tower side, at the upper part of the Tower courtyard. Sports Adventure is included in the museum ticket, but on weekdays it is often booked for school groups, so check the schedule if that is the main reason for visiting. Light clothing and shoes or socks suitable for indoor exercise make the active stations more comfortable.
- Opening-hours notes
- Exhibitions are usually open Mon, Tue and Fri 10:00-18:00, Wed-Thu 10:00-19:00, and Sat-Sun 10:00-17:00. There are exceptions, including 18.6., Midsummer 19.6.-21.6., 18.7., and 30.8., so check current hours before going.
- Booking notes
- Booking is not needed for a normal self-guided museum visit, and tickets can be bought at the desk or online. Groups, school groups, guided tours, and birthdays are booked separately according to TAHTO's instructions.
- Price notes
- Exhibition admission is EUR 17 for adults, EUR 12 for reduced tickets, and EUR 7 for children aged 7-17. Under-7s enter free. Museum Card, Kaikukortti, Helsinki Card, and Helsinki City Pass holders enter free. A joint ticket for TAHTO and the Olympic Stadium Tower is a separate option.
- Age notes
- Works for a wide age range, especially children interested in movement, sports heroes, games, or hands-on tasks. For preschoolers, Sports Adventure may be the easiest part of the museum to enjoy, while school-age children can get more from the sports history and Olympic Stadium stories.
- Seasonal notes
- TAHTO is a year-round indoor museum, but Olympic Stadium events can affect routes and parking in the area. The Stadium Tower and Bistro follow different opening hours from TAHTO.
- Weather notes
- A good rainy-day and cold-day option because the exhibitions and Sports Adventure are indoors. On a hot day, the indoor visit can work as a break, but moving around the Stadium area happens outdoors.
