Tropicario is an indoor tropical animal house on Sturenkatu where families move between terrariums and glass-fronted enclosures. Children can see snakes, lizards, turtles, spiders, scorpions, and crocodiles, with a particular focus on large constrictors and monitor lizards. Species information boards make it best as a calm looking-and-reading visit for children who are curious about reptiles. Sensitive children may find the snakes, spiders, and warm indoor space intense.

A family ticket for 2 adults and 2 children costs EUR 55, with additional children EUR 10 per child. A personal assistant is admitted free with a mobility-impaired wheelchair user or a visitor with developmental or visual impairment who needs individual support; if the assisted child is under 4, the assistant pays admission.
