Backas Family Day turns the Backas area into a summer carnival site. Families can watch the stage programme, join workshops, try circus activities, giant soap bubbles, instruments and dance, and stop by Vantaa sports and library service points. The area also has a library bus, face painting, a jewellery workshop, Pullabiili, Aavan Pikkujätti, MLL Aviapolis' fishing activity, a dog character and food stalls.

- The event area is fenced, and the organiser says it can hold about 2000 visitors at a time. Food and drinks can be bought from stalls. The organiser recommends arriving early.

- The gates and area activity points open at 10:00. The stage programme has Trio Mandeng at 10:30, Raka Bananer at 11:30 and Pomppulinnan kreivi at 13:15. The event ends at 14:00.
