Annantalo fills Helsinki Day with music, theatre and art from morning to evening. The clearest family programme includes two children's concerts by the Päistikka orchestra, the Elävä Helsinki art workshop where families explore nearby nature and paint with natural colours, and Stella Polaris's improvised family theatre piece Maaginen matka. Around noon there is a picnic concert on the A stage, and the evening continues with Downtown Open Mic.

- Accessibility
- Annantalo's accessible entrance is via Kansakoulunkuja 2. The Service Map says the route to the accessible entrance is smooth, sufficiently wide and lit, the entrance has a wheelchair lift, and the building has a lift plus an accessible toilet on the entrance floor. The building also has thresholds, stairs and lifts, and part of the programme is outdoors, so check the route with staff if step-free access is important.
Plan your visit
- Practical notes
- The programme moves between Annantalo's A stage, front yard and Annansali. The Päistikka concerts and art workshop are outdoors, but they move indoors if it rains. For the picnic concert, bring your own snacks and blanket. The evening Open Mic part may suit older children and young people better than toddlers.
- Schedule notes
- The Päistikka concerts are at 9.30 and 10.45. The Elävä Helsinki art workshop is open from 10.00 to 15.00. The picnic concert runs from 12.00 to 12.30. Stella Polaris: Maaginen matka is performed at 15.30 and 18.00, with a duration of about 45 minutes. Downtown Open Mic runs from 19.00 to 21.00.
- Booking notes
- All programme items are free. If rain moves Päistikka indoors to Annansali, reserve a seat through Annantalo's website. Seat reservations for the Stella Polaris performances open on Annantalo's website on 12.6.2026 at 8.00.
- Age notes
- The programme is for the whole family, but different parts suit different ages. The Päistikka concert has an age recommendation of 1+, the open art workshop is for all ages, and Stella Polaris's Maaginen matka is 6+. The evening programme may interest school-age children and young people most.
