At Maunula House Summer Square's pre-Midsummer party, families can get into the Midsummer mood with Tsuumi's city dancing, free Midsummer dancing and accordion music by Teemu Harrinkari. The programme also includes a blanket flea market on the lawn, yard games to borrow from the library, treats from Pullabiili, ice cream treats from Månsas Deli and a youth-centre barbecue for young people.

- Accessibility
- Maunula House has accessible entry through automatic or sliding doors at the main entrance, the S-market entrance and the parking-level lift lobby. Wheelchairs can be used in public areas, floors are connected by an accessible lift, and accessible toilets are on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Because the programme is mainly outdoors on the summer square and lawn, weather, crowds, sound volume and the exact placement of sales or programme points may affect movement with prams or mobility aids.
Plan your visit
- Practical notes
- The event is mainly outdoors on Maunula House square and lawn. If it rains, the dances move indoors, but the blanket flea market is cancelled in rain. Flea-market sellers bring their own blanket, table or rack, and no advance registration is needed. Food and treats are sold; the youth-centre barbecue is aimed at young people.
- Schedule notes
- The event is on Wednesday 17.6.2026 at 17.00-19.45. Some additional programme starts earlier: Pullabiili sells treats at 13.00-19.00 and the blanket flea market is on the lawn at 15.00-18.00 if it does not rain. The evening programme includes a youth barbecue at 17.00-19.00, dance lessons with Dancing in the City at 17.00-17.45 and free dancing accompanied by Teemu Harrinkari at 18.00-18.45 and 19.00-19.45.
- Booking notes
- No advance registration is listed for the event. The blanket flea market is also free, and sellers do not need to register in advance. The maximum attendee capacity has not been confirmed.
- Price notes
- Entry is free. Food and treats are sold, so these may cost extra.
- Age notes
- No exact age range is listed, and the event is not marked as a dedicated children's event. Yard games, the flea market and the community Midsummer atmosphere can work for school-age children and teenagers with their own adult. The later dance and music programme, crowd size and outdoor setting may be tiring for younger children.
