Admission to the Kaisaniemi Botanic Garden greenhouses is free on Wednesday 2 September and Friday 2 October. The ten greenhouses take visitors from dry deserts to humid rainforests and tropical wetlands. Along the way, families can spot giant water lilies, banana trees, flowering cacti and carnivorous plants. The surrounding outdoor garden is free every day of the year.

- Accessibility
- Luomus says the greenhouse building has step-free entry, an accessible toilet and a baby-care room. Strollers are allowed in the greenhouses, but some corridors and doorways are so narrow that double strollers cannot pass. Moving around with a large mobility scooter can be difficult. The outdoor garden and greenhouses can be accessed by visitors with reduced mobility, but Café Viola is not accessible. The garden has no accessible parking space.

- Practical notes
- The greenhouses are warm and humid, with temperatures of about 15–25°C, so outerwear can be left on the lobby coat racks or in a locker. Plants must not be touched, and the collections include plants that can be toxic or irritate skin. On the September free day, the outdoor garden is open 9:00–18:30; on the October day, it is open 9:00–20:00. Storms can close the outdoor garden, while the greenhouses follow their own opening hours. Construction in the area may change access routes.
- Schedule notes
- Greenhouse admission is free on Wednesday 2026-09-02 from 10:00–17:00 and Friday 2026-10-02 from 11:00–18:00. These times follow Luomus's published weekly greenhouse hours; no separate free-day exceptions are listed.
- Booking notes
- No advance booking or registration instruction is published for the free-admission days. Visitor capacity, queuing and any temporary admission limits have not been stated.
- Price notes
- Greenhouse admission is free for everyone on these two days. The outdoor garden is always free. Purchases from the cafe and the small greenhouse shop are paid separately.
- Age notes
- No age limit is published for the free-admission days. As editorial guidance, PikkuRetki particularly recommends a greenhouse visit for approximately ages 3–12 who can move calmly and look at the plants without touching them; this is not an organiser-set age limit.
