Recycling Day explores recycling through hands-on activities: parts are dismantled from small electrical and electronic devices and used to build scrap robots. The day also includes a non-stop sorting station, a guided tour on the history of recycling and a family recycling quiz.

- The museum's historic exhibition spaces are not fully accessible. The main entrance has a ramp, but the door has a 7 cm threshold. With staff assistance, the Event Square and lower exhibition halls can be reached through a separate step-free entrance. The old lift has a 68 cm doorway and may stop 1–5 cm off floor level. An accessible toilet is on the upper floor.

- Practical notes
- At the dismantling station, only small, safe consumer devices such as small household appliances or toys may be handled. Do not bring CRT televisions, intact batteries or devices containing fluids. Museum instructors guide safe tool use, and children must dismantle with an adult.
- Schedule notes
- The non-stop sorting station is open from 11:00 to 16:00. The dismantling station and Roboromu workshop run from 11:30 to 13:30, the guided tour from 14:00 to 15:00, and the quiz starts at 15:30.
- Booking notes
- No advance booking is needed. Workshops and the other programme are included in museum admission and operate on a drop-in basis.
- Price notes
- The programme is included in normal museum admission. Adults €15, children aged 7–17 €7, children under 7 free, and discount groups €7. Museum Card holders enter free.
- Age notes
- The Roboromu scrap-robot workshop is suitable for all ages. Children must take part in dismantling old devices with an adult.
