Four Kirjava keskiviikko workshops explore new uses for old things. In the children's area, try coiling old sheets into trivets and coasters, paint cards with natural pigments from spices, and get help with small clothing repairs. In the Vuotalo lobby, Muoviamo's workshop turns a collage of plastic bags into heat-pressed notebook covers. The library also has withdrawn books to take and a display of books about reusing resources.

- Materials for the coiling workshop are provided. For the plastic workshop, you may bring bags marked LDPE, PE-LD or recycling number 4. Bring a garment to repair to the clothes workshop; the other supplies are provided.
