The New treasures of the sea science-theatre session explores materials and design. Textile design lecturer Anna-Mari Leppisaari explains how centuries-old shipwreck wood was made into durable yarn and a seamless knitted dress. Contemporary design lecturer Anna-Marie van der Lei introduces seaweed-based materials and considers how they relate to the health of the sea. The session is hosted by the character Thinker A!
