Accessibility
The ferry is not accessible, but the driver can help lift a pram aboard. Part of the roughly one-kilometre sandy route works with a pram, but the rocky western section, steps and steep hill to the Nature House are unsuitable for prams or wheelchairs. There is a ramp-accessible toilet beside the pier, and the larger toilet has a changing table. The tour's exact route has not been published.

Plan your visit

Practical notes
The tour starts in front of the Nature House after the ferry reaches the island. The ferry departs from Ullanlinnanlaituri beside Café Ursula, at Ehrenströmintie 3. Raise the white wooden call sign for the ferry and check the current timetable before leaving. Harakka has no café or kiosk, and dogs are not allowed.
Schedule notes
The Nature Centre says the tour runs on Saturdays at around 13.00 and lasts one hour. The dates 19.9.2026 and 26.9.2026 follow that weekly rule and the centre's season continuing through 30.9.2026; they are not listed as separate city-calendar occurrences. Check the current situation with the organiser before leaving.
Price notes
The tour is free, but the ferry is paid separately. A return trip to Harakka costs EUR 9 for adults and EUR 6 for children aged 7–17 and retirees. Cash is not accepted; pay by card or MobilePay.
Age notes
This is an open public tour rather than a separate children's programme. It is likely to work best for school-age children and others who can walk outdoors and follow a guide for about an hour with an adult.
