Träskända Manor Park and Aurora House host an Espoo Day for the whole family. The programme includes a park flea market, pop-up art exhibition, poetry park, an open chapel and Loiskis Glims's river-story exhibition. Artists at Aurora House open their studios, with activities including croquis drawing, art demonstrations, ikebana and cyanotype printing. Visitors can also hear Georg Malmstén favourites in the park, join a children's nature story about the arrival of winter in the chapel, and take part in a nature-wellbeing walk or a cultural walking tour.

The park has good accessible routes and wide courtyard paths. The lowest floor of Aurora House is accessible through door E, the main entrance, although the old building does not meet every modern accessibility standard. An accessible toilet is on the ground floor through door E and Play Café. One accessible parking space is at Kuninkaantie 43.

Plan your visit

Practical notes
Cars may not be driven into the park. Limited visitor parking is at Träskändanristi 5, with more spaces at Järvenperä and Aurora schools. Flea-market selling spaces cannot be reserved and are allocated on arrival; sellers bring their own blanket or table. Sausages and waffles are sold in the park, and Play Café and Café Uken are also open.
Schedule notes
The event runs from 10:00 to 15:00. The exhibition opens at 10:00, the wind septet performs at 11:00, the children's nature story begins at 12:00, the nature-wellbeing walk at 13:00 and the cultural walking tour at 14:00. Aurora House's open studios and the park flea market continue throughout the event.
Booking notes
Visitors do not need to register. Flea-market selling spaces cannot be booked and are filled in order of arrival.
Price notes
The programme is free. Food, café products and flea-market purchases cost extra.
Age notes
The event suits all ages. The children's nature story and art workshops are especially suitable for preschool and primary-school ages; children take part with their own adult.
