Canadian company La ruée vers l’or brings Arctic tales inspired by Jørn Riel to the stage with puppets, live music and sound. Set among hunters in north-east Greenland in the early 1950s, the stories balance isolation, scarce food, harsh weather, vulnerability, anxiety and loneliness with humour, companionship, imagination and resilience.

Practical notes
The evening performance starts at 19:30 and lasts 1 hour 25 minutes, ending at about 20:55. Nukketeatteri Sampo's ticket office and cafe open one hour before evening performances. Prams are left in the sheltered courtyard.
Booking notes
A ticket is required. The official ticket page is open and currently shows tickets available for tonight's performance. Availability may change quickly before the show.
Price notes
A basic ticket costs EUR 25. Under-18s qualify for the EUR 20 reduced ticket, and the EUR 30 support ticket helps fund Nukketeatteri Sampo and SAMPO Festival. Bring proof of eligibility for a reduced ticket.
Age notes
The official numeric age recommendation is 10+. The performance is not recommended for children under 10. Its late start, 85-minute duration and themes of isolation, scarce food, anxiety and loneliness make it best suited to older school-age children and teenagers.
