France's La Compagnie s’Appelle Reviens turns the familiar story on its head in Pinocchio(live)#3. On stage, living children gradually become puppets as adults shape them into standardised objects in an assembly-line-like coming-of-age ritual. In the end, the children reclaim their movement and break free from the strings controlling them. The wordless performance features child and adult performers, with rhythms by two teenage percussionists.
