The Rainbow Family Picnic at Glims Farmstead Museum invites families to spend a colourful summer day in the museum yard. Families can bring their own picnic food, dress colourfully and photograph outfits and moments around the museum grounds. The event is part of the KAMU Pride programme, and the museum cafe is open on the event day.

- Glims is a historic museum site. The area has two accessible parking spaces, an accessible toilet and ramp access to the main cottage building, but the yard includes grass, gravel paths, slopes, thresholds and buildings without step-free access.
