On Finnish Nature Day, a Tringa guide will be at Maarin bird tower in Laajalahti. Families can stop by the tower to look for Laajalahti birds, ask the guide about birds and birdwatching, and see birds through a spotting scope. Laajalahti Nature Reserve is part of the Natura 2000 network and an important bird wetland, so the guidance works well as part of a calm nature outing with children.

Plan your visit
- Practical notes
- Bring binoculars if you have them. The site is reachable by public transport: Tringa says tram 15 stops about 500 metres from the tower. Check Tringa's event calendar again on the event day in case of last-minute changes.
- Schedule notes
- The guide will be at Maarin bird tower from 10:00 to 13:00. The event is weather-dependent.
- Booking notes
- No registration is needed for the guidance.
- Price notes
- Tringa's event page does not list an entry fee or ticket purchase.
- Age notes
- Tringa says the bird-tower guidance suits beginner birdwatchers well. With children, it works best if the child can pause to observe birds and wait for a turn at the spotting scope.
