A Tringa guide will be present at Hakala viewing platform at Vanhankaupunginlahti on Sunday afternoon. The guide helps visitors find and identify birds, shows birds through a spotting scope and answers questions about birds, birdwatching and Tringa's activities. The guidance is especially suitable for beginner birdwatchers and families who want to try calm bird observation at a well-known bird site.

- Accessibility
- Tringa says movement in the area is along walking paths in good condition. Helsinki Service Map information checked for the earlier Hakala event says the viewing platform has accessible viewing places, but the arrival routes include elevation changes.
Plan your visit
- Practical notes
- The event is outdoors on the viewing platform. Bring binoculars if you have them. The platform can be reached on foot or by bike from Viikki via Hakalanniementie, or from the Herttoniemi-Fastholma direction along the pedestrian and cycling route.
- Schedule notes
- The bird guidance is weather-dependent. Check Tringa's event calendar again on the event day in case of last-minute changes.
- Booking notes
- No advance registration is needed.
- Price notes
- Tringa's event page does not list an entry fee or ticket purchase.
- Age notes
- The event is open to everyone. With children, it works best if the child can pause to look for birds and listen to guidance for a while at a time.
