The World of Colors is a participatory museum session for children and adults at Gallen-Kallela Museum. A guide leads families on a playful exploration of the Sunshine and Joy of Life exhibition, looking at art from a child's perspective and making discoveries together. After the guided part, families can continue self-guided adventure tasks indoors or in the museum garden.

Accessibility
Accessibility at the museum is partial. The route from parking goes uphill on a sandy road, the entrance has a ramp but also a threshold, and the historic building has low thresholds and steep stairs to the tower floors. The ground floor can be used with strollers, rollators or wheelchairs. Public toilets, an accessible toilet and a baby-changing table are in the cafe building.

Practical notes
The tour begins indoors in the Sunshine and Joy of Life exhibition. Children attend with their own adult. The guided part lasts about 20-30 minutes; allow another 20-40 minutes for the self-guided adventure tasks.
Schedule notes
The tour is on Wednesday 14.10.2026 from 15:00 to 16:00.
Booking notes
Buy tickets in advance from the museum's online shop; capacity is limited. Add the number and ages of children in the extra-information field. A ticket may be transferred to someone else, but this one-off event ticket is generally not cancelled or refunded without a particularly serious reason.
Price notes
A EUR 7 ticket covers one adult and up to two children, including the adult's museum admission, the tour and adventure tasks. Contact the museum by email to arrange participation with a Kaikukortti.
Age notes
The museum recommends the tour for primary-school-aged children with their own adult.
