The Dragoon Band brings both a traditional guard parade and a MIL-Espa park concert to Helsinki's Friday programme. The parade starts from Senate Square at 12.20, continues with marching music around Esplanade Park and to the Helsinki Main Guard, and returns along Pohjois-Esplanadi to Senate Square. After the parade, the band performs a TOTO Tribute concert at Espa Stage at 14.00 under Major Tero Haikala. This works best for families interested in city parades, wind-band music, marching music and an energetic outdoor concert.

- Accessibility
- No event-specific accessibility or toilet guidance was found for the parade, and the route uses city-centre streets and the area around Esplanade Park. The audience area at Espa Stage is accessible. The stage does not have an accessible toilet, but the neighbouring Restaurant Kappeli has accessible toilet facilities. Crowds, the parade route, street paving, weather and music volume may affect movement with prams or mobility aids.

- Practical notes
- The event moves from Senate Square toward the Esplanade area and continues at Espa Stage. Families can watch only the parade, only the concert or both. This is an outdoor city-centre event, so expect crowds, loud live instruments, street traffic, possible route changes and weather exposure. No weather plan or rain-related changes have been stated.
- Schedule notes
- The guard parade starts on Friday 5.6.2026 at 12.20 from Senate Square. After the parade, the Dragoon Band performs a MIL-Espa concert at Espa Stage at 14.00. The sources do not list an end time; this entry uses 15.00 as a review end time based on a one-hour concert window.
- Booking notes
- Entry to the guard parade and MIL-Espa concert is free. No advance registration or ticket booking is needed.
- Age notes
- This is a public event for everyone, not a programme designed for children. The visual parade and live band may interest school-age children and teenagers, but the crowd, marching music and long outdoor standing time may be demanding for toddlers or sound-sensitive children.
