WelcomeDay invites people who have moved to Helsinki and all Kannelmäki residents to celebrate at Kanneltalo. The family programme includes Clown Täpätä, button-pin and My Kantsu workshops, sports demonstrations, easy Finnish sing-alongs, a gallery visit, and a Grande Mahogany concert. Local services and leisure organisations present their activities in the lobby.

Kanneltalo has ramped accessible entrances on the Sitratori and Klaneettitie sides, even passageways, and an accessible toilet with a changing table. Public areas can be used with a wheelchair or mobility aid. Exact event furniture, crowded conditions, and the route and weather arrangements for the outdoor Sitratori programme are not described.

The main event runs from 16:00 to 19:00. The weather-dependent Streetzone football activity on Sitratori, for ages 12–18, continues until 21:00.
